Dr. Kent E. Hovind

Very good. Basicly a summery of his seminar series. Evolutionism dead not sick. Good information from a good man (see my paper on his arrest on The ARMORY’s page “Evolutionism”). Let me know what you think and help me get it and my site out there. You can post it, too with this URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8DDIe_2cHM

  1. My only problem with Kent Hovind is his recent change of end-times theology. He has partnered with energetic Pastor Steven Anderson, to produce a DVD called “After the Tribulation.” Essentially – these men have embraced Replacement Theology. One can only come to the conclusions they have reached it by replacing Israel with the church. The Rapture is not a new theology created by a single man – John Darby. Rather it is a “recovered” theology. Do not underestimate the influence of Arminism on Martin Luthur and John Calvin. Steven Anderson’s shrill preaching is bullying. What possible purpose could the lukewarm church have during the Tribulation, when there are “Two witnesses,” sealed by God, 144,000 sons of Israel sealed by God (imagine 144,000 Pauls running around!), and three angels circling the earth crying out – “Repent! Repent!”

Pastor Anderson quotes many Scriptures which were given to the Jews – not the church! The mystery of the church is revealed in the Parables. He is not “rightly dividing the Word of Truth.” He is really an anti-Zionist of the first order. He does not believe the remnant of Jews will ultimately inherit the Kingdom. He does not even understand the meaning of the word “elect.” Election is NOT a salvitic term. It simply means chosen.

    Isaiah 42

    King James Version (KJV)

42 Behold my Servant, Whom I uphold; Mine elect, in Whom My soul delighteth; I have put My Spirit upon Him: He shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

Jesus Christ was God’s elect in this passage – He did not need Salvation! Good grief – if people want to go through the terrible judgements – more power to them. They must not fully trust on the efficacy of Christ’s blood to cover them. They still think the church needs purifying. Everyone goes through tribulation in their lives – but that is NOT the same thing as THE GREAT TRIBULATION, which is designed to cause Israel to repent. Pastor Anderson and Kent Hovind NEVER describe what the church is doing during the judgements, because it isn’t in the Bible. If you know anything about drones and transhumanism – you will not find a literal interpretation of Revelation too difficult. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+9&version=KJV

6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, (Revelation 14 )

    1. Dear Sir,

Personally I think that there are a few raptures (this seems plain to me). I watched the video and it seems to be very close to the one that The Prophecy Club did a while ago; it was horrible wholly. It does not seem that they are replacing Israel, but that all Christians are the “elect” (not “predestinated”). They are both good men, but anyone can be mistaken. I’d still fellowship with them, recommend their materials and wait for the rapture.

Don’t worry, the worst this can do is cause pre-trib arguments. We all ought to be ready to die for Christ and the Bible. I’m not one to shy away from confrontation. I disagree with Anderson and Hovind on some points and I know why, too. So far.

      1. Thank you for your thoughtful reply, but I’m not a sir! Ladies Bible teacher, and former home school mom for 25 years. I appreciate your discernment, and hope to encourage you in your efforts to “earnestly contend for the faith.” You’re doing a great job! We need more discernment ministries that hold to Sola Scriptura, and the KJV!

        Your sister in Christ Jesus,

        sage

      1. Andrew, thank you for your courteous question.

I have taught a large ladies Bible study (100-300 students) which was fully approved by the pastor and elders, and my husband. I also teach them how to be “keepers at home.” (Titus 2) Most young women today are starved for the skills that every woman used to know, such as sewing, knitting, gardening, canning etc. . . I never speak at church (which I confess is a humbling challenge for me as I have an eidetic memory, which invariably surpasses the pastor’s or any teacher’s)

That being said, Kent Hovind is neither my pastor, nor my husband. He is not in authority over me. My husband is, and I have been ecstatically happily married for 33 years. (And yes – I have very long hair – 1 Corinthians 11:15) Did I answer your question adequately? Wouldn’t you would rather dig into 1 Timothy 2:15? That’s the one most people like to talk to about.

So to solidify my response – I am “covered” by my husband, who allows me to teach other women, and also allows me to discuss Scriptural matters with men when appropriate, especially online like this where I am safe and he can see what I am doing. But that is not the same thing as women becoming pastors or ministers, whereby the feminization of the church is destroying it from the inside.

      2. Hi Sage,

        Thanks for the reply!

That is an intersting perspective, to be sure. Who is speaking in Timothy? I guess it would be Timothy…right? And if these are instructions for worship we can assume that they’re inspired by God himself, right?

If I am reading correctly, it simply says that a woman is not permitted to 1)teach 2)assume authority over a man and 3) to be quiet.

Now, I could be wrong…but this doesn’t read to me like “hey its cool if you teach as long as your husband gives you the green light.”

In fact, that seems like a relatively liberal interpretation of scripture. After all, if you can glean that meaning is it so far fetched to hold the position that God created the Earth, through the process of evolution, in six day-age periods as revealed to the author of Genesis?

      3. Since you mentioned it, what is your opinion on verse 15? I wasn’t even aware of that verse to be honest.

And just so we’re clear, I find this misogyny extraordinarily archaic and sad. I am sorry you’ve had to feel like a lesser person. 😦

I am engaged and I consider my fiance my equal. Well, I can still beat her at arm wrestling but other than that 😉

  2. Woody, with all do respect my man, there are very few who reject the theory of evolution at this point. Scientists have observed, in real time, the selection and adaptation the theory predicted long ago. At this point, it just looks desperate to try to discredit it (especially with Hovind as your point guy).

If you’re interested in the sound study, you can read more about it here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E._coli_long-term_evolution_experiment

The study also created a rather spectacular egg-on-the-face situation for a creationist who misjudged his opponent:

    http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Lenski_affair

The definition of rationality is that you observe information and draw logical conclusions from it. In light of this study alone, not to even mention the mountains of other evidences, it is irrational to claim evolution is false across the board.

Which brings me to my question: If evolution is how life came to arrive at its current disposition, how does that change your relationship with your god or with Jesus? Does it affect it in some way I am not understanding?

Why does your salvation hinge on the natural processes of the world?

    1. “Evolution is un proved and unprovable [we only accept it because] the only alternative is special creation and that is unthinkable.”
Wikipedia? OK. I can’t trust them with my world view and my eternal soul if I cannot trust them for a two page paper. 🙂 Why are we finally discovering “evidence” for something that has been accepted as fact since the 1800’s?
Evolutionists have had “rather spectacular egg-on-the-face situation[s] for a creationist who misjudged his opponent” created around them, too. I’m not judging science by one error, I’m going to go wiht the proponderence of the evidence. Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob. Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come. Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together. (Isaiah 41:21-23)
Everything that I’ve ever seen presented as evidence for evolutionism has been proven fraud. O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: (I Timothy 6:20). Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge. (Pvoverbs 19:27)
I am sure there are mountians of evidence for evolution, but the Bible says that God created everything in 6 days (Exodus 20:11; 31:17). Since it is my final authority and “science” is not, I believe the Bible over oppinionated lying old man any day! (Romans 3:4, God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.) But I know that what we discover in reality has, will, and always will vindicate what the Bible says. I’ve never seen it fail and I’ve looked (unlike the scientist covering the donosaur tracks for NOVA). If there are “mountians” nobody has ever seen them unless they either made them out of mole hills or imagined that there is no creation filling between the mountians and over them, making a flat plane in reality. If I were you, I’d take some time and watch the whole Creation Seminar Seriese by Dr. Hovind and let me know what you think. They may just save your life. [That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (John 13:15) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life. (Proverbs 4:13) (John 5:39) He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (John 3:36) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. (Mark 8:35) My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: (Proverbs 3:1-3)]

My salvation and the existence of the God of the Bible “hinges” on the accuracy of the Bible. If it is wrong then I’ve believed the lie that “every word of God is pure” (Proverbs 30:5) and “God, that cannot lie” (Titus 1:2). What the Bible says the biblical Christian must accept (Acts 17:11). But, if it tells things which are not really true at all, then it is false and every word is not pure. Also, we do not need some goo-roo to tell us what the Bible means because God commanded for his word to be planely written upon tables (Habakkak 2:2). It is not some mystery; when the clear sence makes perfect sence, seek no other sence.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said, But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. (Mark 10:6). If man evolved from sexless slime to monkeys to man over billions of years, JESUS WAS WRONG, right? Or maybe He flat lied? If either of these is true then he was not God in the flesh (I Timothy 3:16) and he could not have paid from my sins for my sins on Calvery (Matt. 26:28; John 1:13; Col. 1:14). That’s exactly how the scientiffic accuracy of the Holy Bible (KJV) affects my salvation, my relationship with God and my faith.

      1. Bro, there you go with that circular reasoning again: you can’t claim that God made life the way it is because God said so. That is irrational! That isn’t how evidence works!

I’ve got to hand it to you though. You may be wrong, but you’re consistently wrong. And I am talking about the science part…I don’t really care about the KJV debate.

Its clear your home school indoctrination was thorough and complete. Your parents must be proud of your lock-step acceptance of what they forced on you. But, hey, you shouldn’t be offended by that. It’s what YAHWEH wanted all along right?

  3. I know how evidence works. I’m talking about PREMIS. I look for proof of the veracity of the Final Authority (the King James Bible) once I know what it says. If every disproven on one point it is no longer my Fianl Authority. Logically it cannot then be such, right. But until then I assume (have faith) that everything it says is correct because I stake my eternal soul on it. I though we settled the thing of authority and circular reasoning a while ago.
Great! So I havn’t contradicted myself yet! All I do is use circular reasoning and undemocratic dogmas! 🙂 Good. I’m not debating versions with you. I’ll debate Bible.
I was not indoctrinated by science to faith in evolutionism, as you seem to have been by your education. Rather, I was indoctrinated by my faithful parents to faith in a Book that has no contradictions in it unto salvation. Looks like if I’m wrong and you’re right, I’m happier than you for I look for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God (Heb. 11:10). If you are truely wrong and I’m really right, you’ve hell to shun and heaven to gain, and I’m already going there unless you convince me against it. You have everything to gain in your conversion; I have nothing to gain but science magazines and depression in mine to evolutionism.
My parents forced nothing on my mind. I tell them regularly of my findings. If anything, I’ve forced my parents. I’ve told them that I’d tell them if I found Bible Christianity to be wrong only if I found evolutionary atheism untrue as well (for it has nought to offer). YHWH is all caps, not Yahweh, by the by.

And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. (Revelation 21:6)

      1. Oops! I’ve 2 hours in a computer lab to go. Then I’ll be done for sure, ’cause I’ll be at home. 🙂
I originally believed the Bible because it was what I was told (7 years old). Now I believe it because of the preponderence of the evidence. But, I retain my child-like faith (Matt. 18:3). It has and will never be proven (that is shown) to be wrong. (Much evidence seen in the CSS seriese, The King James Code seriese, etc.; all of them are in The ARMORY.) I believe God and fear hell. That is the best reason to keep my conversion. If I’m right, that is ALL that evolutionism has to offer, right?
I know, from the CSS videos, that evolutionism has nothing to stand on.
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: (I Timothy 6:20)
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? (Luke 18:8)
And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee. (Luke 18:42)
Why exactly do you believe evolutionism? I’ll be reading your description of you soon. Do you believe the unabsolute authority of scientists as though they were absolute? Sounds crazy, right?
Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands: (Acts 19:26)
Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together. Behold, ye are of nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination is he that chooseth you. (Isaiah 41:23-24)
