    1. Dear Rev. Whitehead,

I will have to disagree with your assessment. I personally was driven out of a church that I helped build when the pastor and elders decided to go “Purpose Driven,” entirely in pursuit of a larger congregation. Fifteen of us attempted to resist – and were told that if we didn’t like it – we could leave. The KJV pew Bibles, were replaced with NIV’s. The choir (and modest choir robes) were done away with, and a “praise team,” was installed, along with a large movie screen suspended over the baptistry. Sunday School was renamed “salt group,” and the Sunday and Wednesday evening Bible studies were done away with entirely in favor of “small groups,” where devotionals were led by well-meaning novice Christians. Alcohol was even served at some of these “groups.”

Any serious student of prophecy could not find fault with the above post. Why? Because it is true. The evidence is in the decrepit society we now live in. The pastors have surrendered their voices to the 501C3, and the lust for huge and prosperous flocks. You know as well as I do, that more and more churches are rolling over to the sodomites under the auspices of demonstrating “love and tolerance.” The Black Robed Regiment that founded this country would be aghast to learn what the pastors of today have allowed to happen. Are there fearless pastors still faithful to the pure Word? Yes. The Lord always preserves a remnant. But there are not many, and the number grows smaller every day.

The name of the game is compromise now.

      Isaiah 30:9-11

      King James Version (KJV)

9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord:

10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:

11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.

    2. What statement, sir. Is there a Bible reference that you know of that would be contrary to what I wrote? Thank you.

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:19-20)

  1. It is sad that this generation is more and more a reflection of 2 Tim 4:3-4 (KJV) “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
The remnant of great pastor’s will heed the call of 2 Tim 4:5 “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of the evangelist, MAKE FULL PROOF OF THY MINISTRY.”
